ONLINE: You may pay online by credit/debit card or electronic check.
Please make sure when paying with an electronic check that the routing number and account numbers entered are correct. If your payment is returned unpaid a fee will be added to your account and if it is returned after the delinquent date of the bill, you will be liable for the interest due.

- Credit card payments: 2.50% service fee with a minimum of $2.00
- Debit card payments: $3.95 flat fee

You can pay all your taxes with one check. Please be sure to enclose all bills and double-check that the total amount paid is correct.
If you use YOUR BANKS BILL PAY, please be aware that a check is mailed to us WITHOUT a US postmark.
If we receive payment without a US postmark after the delinquent date of the bill, it will be considered late, and added interest will be due. The guaranteed delivery date from your bank is not considered the same as a postmark per state statute and will not be used as such. If you proceed using your banks bill pay, please have payments mailed to
Tax Collector, Town of Bolton, 222 Bolton Center Rd, Bolton, CT 06043.
Please consider paying at least ONE week before the delinquent date if paying in this way to avoid any issues it may cause.
Also consider getting your envelope hand stamped and/or a receipt of mailing from the Post Office if mailing close to the delinquent day. USPS recently changed their procedures in which your mail may not be postmarked the same day it is mailed. Being that this office must use a U.S. postmark for interest purposes please make sure if you are mailing your tax bill close to the last day, that you go to the post office to get a hand stamped same day postmark to make sure that the date of mailing is the date on your envelope.
If a receipt is desired, please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope along with a request for a receipt.

IN PERSON: You can pay in person during normal business hours at the Revenue Collection Office (M-W-TH 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., TUE 8:30-6:30, FRI 8:30-1:00 excluding holidays). Our office is located on the lower level in Town Hall.

DROP SLOT: You may drop your payment off in our drop slot located to the left of the Tax Collector’s door at Town Hall.
Please put your payment in a sealed envelope. Please write “TAX COLLECTOR” and add your phone number to the envelope. Please do not put cash through the drop slot.
