The Town of Bolton is accepting applications only for a CREWMAN III in the Highway Department. This is a union position (AFSCME 1303-126) with full benefits and starting pay of $27.56 which is 75% of the job rate of $36.75. At the completion of the probationary period (6 months) the employee shall be compensated at 85% of the job rate. At the employees first anniversary date the employee shall be compensated at 90% of the job rate, and on the employees second anniversary date he/she shall be paid at the full (100%) rate of pay. Head Camp Counselor
Bolton Recreation Department runs an 8 week daily summer camp for ages ranging from 3 to 12 from the hours of 7:30am – 5:30pm Monday-Friday. Counselors provide guidance, support and leadership to campers throughout the summer. Counselors are in charge of keeping track of their group of campers. Counselors should be able to work with campers as a group but understand the individual needs of each camper through camp activities, games and crafts. Professionalism is to be shown when working with other staff members, parents as well as campers at all times. Always put the safety of the campers above all else. Counselor schedules are set as far in advance as possible to keep within staff to camper ratio. However there may be some days that staff will be asked to stay later, or come in early or come in on their scheduled ay off to fill the ratio requirements.

The Bolton Recreation Department is seeking both full time and part time seasonal head lifeguards. Under the direct supervision of the Recreation Director, lifeguards are responsible for the everyday safety and wellbeing of patrons at Indian Notch Lake. Lifeguards will strictly enforce all policies procedures and regulations with all patrons. Staff will work closely with other town staff on a daily basis and perform all rescues and follow up procedures. Lifeguards must have their Lifeguard Training, Standard First Aid, and CPR for the Professional Rescuer.

Library Assistant I - Cataloging

The Town of Bolton is currently hiring for a Library Assistant I – Cataloging, at the Bentley Memorial Library. This is a union position (Local 1303-331). This is a 25 hour per week position with the following hours: Monday 2-8, Tuesday 10-4, Wednesday 10-5, Thursday 2-8 and alternating Saturdays 9-3 (when working Saturday you would have Tuesday off).
The pay rate shall start at the entry level rate which is 90% of the job rate. (Pay rate will begin at $24.38 which is 90% of the beginning rate of $27.09). At the completion of the probationary period, the employee shall be compensated at 95% of the job rate. At the employees first anniversary date he/she shall be paid at the full (100%) rate of pay.

Position Definition: Performs duties requiring substantive knowledge of an ILS (Integrated Library System preferably Bibliomation’s Evergreen). Performs library operations in the functional area of circulation and cataloging; performs responsible and varied administrative work in issuing patron library cards and receiving and circulating library material. Uses the latest information technology to assist library patrons in their search for information and materials. Catalogs library materials into the system as needed.

Maintainer I (Seasonal)

Summer Camp Counselor
The Bolton Recreation Department is seeking both full time and part time seasonal summer camp counselors. Under the direct supervision of the camp director, a Counselor is responsible for the supervision of campers, promoting and actively participating in all camp activities, providing a safe and fun learning environment, and serving as a positive role model for campers. We are seeking motivated team members who believe deeply in the organization’s mission and who display a record of achievement in effective supervision & management of youth as it pertains to this position, building positive relationships and ensuring the safety and well-being of people of all ages. Hours of work will vary between the hours of 7:30am and 5:30pm.

Summer Camp Director
The Bolton Recreation department is seeking a full time camp director. This position is a nine week position with one week to prepare summer camp and eight weeks of working one on one with community members and staff of the camp. The director will work full time, creating weekly lesson plans and be sure all counselors are following the rules and regulations of the job, working with vendors on workshop and field trip days and more. The camp director will work directly under the recreation director.
