UPDATE FROM THE TAX OFFICE: 

Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the Town of Bolton that the taxes for the 2024 Grand List will be due and payable on October 1st, 2025. The Tax Collector’s office is located in the Bolton Town Hall, 222 Bolton Center Rd, Bolton, CT, lower level. Office hours for payments are as follows:

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday – 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Tuesday – 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM
Friday – 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM

Payments must be received or postmarked by November 3rd, 2025, to avoid interest. Interest at the rate of 1.5% per month will be charged for all taxes remaining unpaid. Interest starts accruing from October 1st, 2025, the date the taxes became due and payable. Minimum interest charge is $2.00 per bill.

Failure to receive a tax bill does not invalidate the tax or interest per CT State Statute. Please visit our website for additional information.

PAPER SHREDDING EVENT:

The Town of Bolton will hold its annual Shredding Event on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 9 a.m. to noon at the recycling/transfer station. Residents from the Town of Bolton can bring documents for shredding to the recycling center. All rings and binders must be removed. Staples do not need to be removed. There is no limit to the quantity of documents to be shredded.

Nathan Hale Greenway Feasibility Report Released

The Town of Bolton has recently completed the preparation of the feasibility study and preliminary design for the Nathan Hale Greenway and it is now available for distribution. Please use the link below to gain access to the final report of the study. The Town will be evaluating and implementing the various recommendations of the study over time, in particular, ones that involve low or no cost options which encourage the active management of the Town owned properties in the study area and can provide feasible access for the public.
