Holiday Hours and Memorial Day Parade:

Bentley Memorial Library will be closed on Saturday, May 23, and all town offices and the library will be closed on Monday, May 25, in honor of Memorial Day. TRASH AND RECYCLING COLLECTION WILL BE DELAYED BY ONE DAY, STARTING MONDAY, MAY 25, 2026.

MEMORIAL DAY PARADE:
The Bolton Memorial Day Parade will step off at 10 am on Monday, May 25th, 2026, from the Center School. In case of rain, the Memorial Day Celebrations will be held at the Bolton Fire Department at 168 Bolton Center Road beginning at 10:30 am.

COFFEE AND CONVERSATION:

Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at Bolton Town Hall

The Town of Bolton will host a Coffee and Conversation to discuss the town budget and other topics generated by public discussion.

TAX COLLECTOR’S NOTICE 

Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the Town of Bolton that the taxes for the 2024 GL Supplemental Motor Vehicle Tax Billing shall become due and payable on January 1, 2026.  The Tax Collector’s office is in the Bolton Town Hall, 222 Bolton Center Rd, Bolton, CT, lower level.  Office hours for payments are as follows:

                Monday, Wednesday and Thursday:        8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

                Tuesday:              8:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

                Friday:                  8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

 

Payments must be received or postmarked by February 2, 2026, to avoid interest.  Interest at the rate of 1.5% per month will be charged for all taxes remaining unpaid. Interest starts accruing from January 1, 2026 the date the taxes become due and payable. Minimum interest charge is $2.00 per bill.

Failure to receive a bill does not invalidate the tax or interest per CT State Statute.  Please call if you believe you have one due or if you have any questions at 860-649-8066 x 6101.
