The Town of Bolton is proud to announce Stable Studio Tattoo as our Business of the Month for September.
Stable Studio Tattoo, owned and operated by artist Kelly Green, has been a creative cornerstone in Bolton since opening its doors on Friday, July 13, 2018. With a passion for art and nearly two decades of tattooing experience, Kelly created the studio as a space for like-minded artists to come together and share their craft in a welcoming and inspiring environment.
Kelly’s journey into tattooing began in 2002, shortly after graduating high school. Always fascinated with art, she found tattooing to be the perfect blend of creativity and personal expression. After tattooing throughout Connecticut for over 16 years, she decided it was time to open her own shop—and Bolton was the perfect place. Having recently purchased a home and started a family, Kelly wanted to put down roots in a community where her family could grow. She also saw an opportunity to bring something new to the area, since there were no tattoo shops in Bolton, Coventry, Andover, or Columbia.
The studio is primarily custom and appointment-based, though walk-ins are welcomed when possible. Stable Studio also hosts exciting events, including Flash Days, where artists design one-day-only tattoos—sometimes turning them into fundraisers to support local nonprofits. For those seeking a little spontaneity, the studio offers a playful “Get What You Get” gumball machine, where a quarter reveals your next tattoo design at random.
