Budget Referendum #3:

The next BUDGET REFERENDUM  will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, from 12 noon to 8 PM at St. Maurice Parish Center (32 Hebron Rd) 
Absentee ballots are available in the Town Clerk’s office.

PAPER SHREDDING EVENT:

The Town of Bolton will hold its annual Shredding Event on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 9 a.m. to noon at the recycling/transfer station. Residents from the Town of Bolton can bring documents for shredding to the recycling center. All rings and binders must be removed. Staples do not need to be removed. There is no limit to the quantity of documents to be shredded.

Milling and Resurfacing on Route 6 in Bolton, Coventry and Andover

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 6 in Bolton, Coventry and Andover. This project is scheduled to occur on Sunday, April 19 and be completed on Monday, June 29, 2026. The project DOT01710531CN F & H consists of milling and resurfacing a 5.83 -mile segment of Route 6 in Bolton, Coventry and Andover from 0.02 miles east of the east bound and west bound connector for Route 6 to 0.06 Miles west of Bunker Hill Road and the commuter lot next to the Andover Post Office. This project is scheduled to begin milling by Rafferty Fine Grading on Sunday, April 19 to Tuesday, May 12, 2026.  The resurfacing segment of this project by Tilcon Connecticut anticipated to begin on Sunday, May 17 to Monday, June 29, 2026. This project is included in CTDOT’s 2026 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures of Route 6 in Bolton, Coventry and Andover from 0.02 Miles east of the east bound and west bound connector Route 6 to 0.06 miles west of Bunker Hill Road and limited access to the Commuter lot next to the Andover Post Office. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 07:00 p.m. to 05:00 a.m., Sunday to Thursday.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
