Free pH Soil Testing - Drop-in Event

September 28, 2023
6:00 pm to 7:30 pm

Tolland County Master Gardeners and Bolton residents Jean Laughman and Leslie Alexander, and Pam Cooper, from the UConn Home and Garden Center, will conduct free soil pH testing and answer your gardening questions. Bring a cup of soil in a baggie from each location to be tested (dig down a few inches for best results). Samples of plant problems are also welcome, e.g. a leaf or stem of an affected plant secured in a baggie or container. Gardening questions will be addressed throughout the evening. Soil pH testing will be completed while you wait, time permitting. Information on nutrient testing through UConn and overall soil and plant care and maintenance will also be available. Registration is not required.
