Town Green Renovations

The renovations to the Town Green began today. After going to bid twice for the project it was awarded to the Andrew Ansaldi Company by the Board of Selectmen. The renovations include removal of some of the trees that would not survive the re-grading process. Re-grading to promote drainage. The gazebo will be relocated and a granite sitting wall will be installed in a semi-circular pattern facing the gazebo. The connectivity pathway will be redone as well in a sweeping fluid motion. This project was funded by a grant secured from the State of Connecticut.

How Do I know which Voting District I live in?

Here is an alphabetical list of each street in Bolton and district it is in. Some streets are in both districts. We have highlighted these streets so that you can check by street number which district your house is in.

Where do I vote in-person?

This used to be simple: We all voted at the Town Hall. Unfortunately, the Town Hall ran out of space, and in August 2022, the state redistricted Bolton, changing us from one district to two. So now things are a bit more complex.

Here are the general rules:

  • For state and federal elections, if you live in
  • District 1, vote at Bolton Center School
  • District 2, vote at Bolton High School
  • For municipal elections,
  • Everyone votes at Bolton High School
  • For referenda,
  • Everyone votes at St. Maurice’s Parish House (Ryba Hall)

Where do I Early Vote?

All Early Voting for both District 1 and District 2 is at the Registrars’ Office in the Temporary Municipal Office Building on Notch Road. This location never changes unless the building becomes unusable.

Where do I get Absentee Ballots?

Absentee ballots are available from the Town Clerk located in the Town Hall.
