Town Green Renovations

The renovations to the Town Green began today. After going to bid twice for the project it was awarded to the Andrew Ansaldi Company by the Board of Selectmen. The renovations include removal of some of the trees that would not survive the re-grading process. Re-grading to promote drainage. The gazebo will be relocated and a granite sitting wall will be installed in a semi-circular pattern facing the gazebo. The connectivity pathway will be redone as well in a sweeping fluid motion. The funding for this project is being provided by the State of Connecticut through a legislative grant. Senator Rahman, Representative Ackert and Representative Weir all supported the grant funding.
